Ask the Expert/ Legal

How long do I have to submit a lien on a property I am owed money on?

Notebook-Team October 6, 2015

A mechanic’s lien must be recorded within 90 days of last supplying labor/material to the project or the completion of the project, whichever is later. In the event a Notice of Completion has been recorded and served the time period is reduced to 40 days from the date of recording of the Notice of Completion.
