Construction Notebook had the pleasure of touring the brand new IKEA, opening here in Las Vegas. This IKEA, located at 6500 IKEA Way, will be the 42nd IKEA store to open in the United States, and will include 351,000 SF of shopping area, a supervised children’s play area, 300 employees and a 450-seat restaurant (which will feature IKEA’s famous Swedish Meatballs). IKEA will officially open it’s doors on Wednesday, May 18, and with only 5 days left until the opening, many Las Vegas residents are feeling the excitement. IKEA has also planned to have 3 fun-filled days of giveaways prior to the opening, with live entertainment and food samples for customers.
